I hope our new guy realizes that he won't be able to build his much discussed win total against the likes of Duquesne, St. Bonaventure, Fordham, and Saint Louis - at least minimally realizes that the A 10 aint the Big 10. All of the fan base that grew up watching Coach Knight's teams play the suffocating man to man defense and the everyone knows their role offense which gave IU a chance to win anywhere at anytime is watching very closely. None of the punk ass Coach Knight haters can deny that IU was an elite national program then and it was damn near impossible for anyone to win at Assembly Hall (from '76 to '95 237-36). Now we are a national joke, and thats why we couldn't get Alford or Donovan.
One other thing. Why did the decision have to be made so soon? Did they honestly think that a mid major guy like Miller wouldn't take the IU job a month from now? No one knows what types of scenarios would shake out after a National Champion is crowned? What about Frank Martin? What about Randy Wittman? Who else was interested? There was some reason that we don't know about that this "search" culminated so quickly. Unprofessional in my opinion.
