Pool Bully, you KNOW I feel quasi-responsible for the souring of your Tude. I was miserable a few years ago and hated everything, and my having been at IU when they last won always trumped everything as it pertained to my sense of entitlement and anger over What Had Become. I no longer share that life view, thank God and anti-depressants, so Shoeshine Boy humbly apologizes. :-)
As for the the astute observation that the pants-shitting episode vs. The Cuse fingered the downturn: Zeller leaving after his sophomore year ... when he could have nearly single-handedly rebuilt IU into the hoops mecca it once was while simultaneously banging EVERYTHING on campus for at least three years ... to hurry off to a mediocre-as-fuck pro career that I could not possibly give a shit about ... after I watched ALL THOSE FUCKERS play in high school and guaranteed Greatness upon their B-town arrival?
That may remain unforgivable.
I shall have to ponder ...
