...is Randy Wittman. I have no issue with Woodie, but Wittman would have been just fine as our head coach. More of an NBA kind of staff with Wittman - I think it would help get quality players to Bloomington

And, oh yah, Wittman has never recruited, which is really the main effort of your assistants in this day and age. Seems like a great idea SMH

Cmon Stew. Let’s line the bench with nothing but former players. Wittman, Kitchell, Benson … all the names that mean something to the dads who yell YOU HAVE TO HIT YOUR FUCKING FREE THROWS, JIMMY at kids from the stands at 3rd grade church league games. Then all the old-timers who donate at Hoosier Hundred level can look up at the five banners and whisper “bah gawd, they did it the right way” after another 12-18 season comes to an end.

Yeah - he has just been a PRO head coach and brings a ton of experience at many levels to the program. You saw what happened for four years with dipshit Archie Miller and all of his minions with COLLEGE experience. It seems to me that as an IU legend and an NBA player and coach that Wittman would easily be able to assist in the recruiting effort and easily assist with game management. Who brings more to the table - Wittman or Fife? It is clear consensus in IU's basketball leadership that Wittman (or someone else) does because Fife is gone. And all of your listed criticisms - shouldn't Fife - the experienced COLLEGE coach - have been able to help with that?? Apparently not

If IU adds Wittman, whom I saw play at Belzer Fucking Junior High, then you have my word as The Dude that I will whip it out. If for no other reason than those two have THEEE most beautiful bank shots. Ever.

The only reason I can think of for Fife's departure and the quick promotion of the guy with no experience is Woodie wants yes men. I hope it works out.
