Pack was All Big 12 at Kansas St and is from Indy. 17.4 ppg 3.8 rpg 2.2 assists with 3 games over 30 points.
Set a meeting and offer him....

Pack would be a pretty good get....much better than the pededstrian Penn State dude you wanted. Problem is he wants to be a lead guard wherever he goes and with X coming back and JHS coming in, we'd be way too heavy there and too light elsewhere (especially at 4/5). IU is focusing a ton of attention on Malk Reneau, 2022 5 star from Monteverde and would be a much better get with the 1 roster spot we have open at this point in time.
If Pack were to land in the Big Ten Purdue or Iowa are more likely landing spots, but this kid is in play everywhere.

So, we don't need to win a championship next year, right? I'd go with Malik in that instance. Any opportunity to convince Kopp that he should be a professional will be highly appreciated, so please put out your voodoo and get him to move on. I'd really like 2 gets from the portal or Malik and 1.

lead guard point guard shooting guard Right Guard....I don't give a fuck. Get players signed from the portal that are proven commodities, which increases the talent pool, which increases competition for playing time, which increases the chance to win...

Probably why your application for the Head Coach, Mens Basketball at Indiana University position was not considered...

One, I could do as well if not better than the people in charge over the last six seasons, and two, you make that comment because I said we need proven talent There is no response for that ridiculousness - we need proven talent immediately and we aint UNC Duke Gonzaga Kansas or even Michigan Wisconsin Iowa etc etc. Talent makes you a better coach and makes your program more competitive. If you are passing on talent because they aren't a "lead guard" or a "point guard" or a "stretch 4" then you are screwing your program. You know that

Not the point at all...but you know that. If you don't understand and grasp what the players you are bringing in want and how they want to fit in to your program, then....well you just demonstrated that isn't relevant to you and that isn't how things work any longer. And, yes terminology of the game has changed since Bawby last coached and so has everything else.

What good does it do to bring in a player in a "need category" (call it a big) because "we need bigs" and get someone like Durr? What good does it do to bring in a player in a need category "shooter" and get someone like Kopp? What good does it do to fill a need category of big guard if they can't shoot? Get the best available players on the bus - and then decide where they sit. Overall skill wins at the end of the day....period

Players have too many options to go somewhere they aren't going to play or not going to play where they want to play or feel is the best position for them. That's why.

We need more players who can negotiate Walnut Street at 90 miles per without getting arrested. Shows an undeniable slickness on offense.
