(sub-title to this thread = Steve is unmotivated today)
Seriously, even the high seeds have serious pedigrees. If I'm not mistaken, here's the order of bidding...
1. Gonzaga (11 vs Syracuse/10) 2. Syracuse (10 vs Gonzaga/11) 3. Wisconsin (7 vs Notre Dame/6) 4. Notre Dame (6 vs Wisconsin/7) 5. Maryland (5 vs Kansas/1) 6. Indiana (5 vs UNC/1) 7. Iowa State (4 vs Virginia/1) 8. Duke (4 vs Oregon/1) 9. Miami (3 vs Villanova/2) 10. Texas A&M (3 vs Oklahoma/2) 11. Villanova (2 vs Miami 3) 12. Oklahoma (2 vs Texas A&M/3) 13. Virginia (1 vs Iowa State/4) 14. Oregon (1 vs Duke/4) 15. UNC (1 vs Indiana/5) 16. Kansas (1 vs Maryland/5)
So there's at least two guaranteed wins in the 'bottom' four teams, a lot of opportunities where one team's opponent goes on the block immediately after bidding is done with the other team, and 1's taking on teams that have potential to play spoiler. I'm predicting less money at the top and more in the middle and bottom this year. Open the bidding on Gonzaga at $10!!!

We have an Opening bid! Do I hear 15 BEANS! ?? Based on previous years' bidding, $20 minimum isn't an unquestionable starting point for this year.
